What you will see
Rail Live is built around live demonstrations on real track, with full-size rolling stock and plant on display. Two seminar theatres run alongside: "Strategy & Leadership" and "Engineering & Safety". It is one of the few shows where track maintenance machines, road-rail vehicles and new trains can be seen moving.
An engineer's view
For engineers working on maintenance and renewals, Rail Live is more practical than an indoor exhibition: you can watch how a machine actually works on site and talk to the operators. Wear suitable footwear, as much of the show is outdoors on a working rail site.
Getting there
For the 2026 edition, the organiser ran a dedicated "Rail Live Express" train from London Paddington and free coach shuttles from Stratford-upon-Avon Parkway and Honeybourne stations. Travel arrangements for 2027 will be published on the official website.
