About the Event

The fifth Rail Industry Summit Morocco is set for Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 April 2027 at the exhibition grounds in El Jadida. Run by the French events company abe (Advanced Business Events), it is the business convention of Morocco's rail sector, where ONCF, the major train builders and their supply chains meet through pre-arranged one-to-one meetings, conferences and workshops.

At a glance

  • Dates: 13-14 April 2027.
  • Venue: Parc des Expositions, El Jadida (the 2025 edition used the Parc d'Exposition Mohammed VI on the N1 towards Azemmour).
  • Organiser: abe – Advanced Business Events.
  • Format: B2B convention with conferences.
  • Frequency: annual; the fourth edition took place on 9-10 December 2025.
  • 2025 figures: 300+ companies, 21 countries and 1,500+ participants, according to the organiser.

How the two days work

Mornings (09:00-12:30) are given over to conferences, followed by a networking lunch, then B2B meetings and workshops in the afternoon, until 18:30 on day one and 17:30 on day two. Meetings are booked in advance through an online platform and technical catalogue, and schedules are sent a few days before the event. There are no stands to build. Registration distinguishes buyers from suppliers.

The 2027 programme has not been released yet. For reference, the 2025 edition opened with Morocco's transport and industry ministers and ONCF's director general, and included panels on manufacturers' major projects, Africa, interoperability, cybersecurity and AI, skills, plus supplier days hosted by ONCF and Hyundai Rotem.

Why attend

Morocco has placed very large rolling stock orders and wants to build a local supply base. This is where buyers explain their needs to subcontractors in infrastructure (signalling, maintenance), rolling stock (traction, carbody, refurbishment), onboard equipment and interiors. Delegations from Gabon, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon and Mauritania attended in 2025, which also makes the summit a gateway to French-speaking Africa. In the TrainsNews team's view, it is of solid interest for rolling stock, infrastructure and operations.

Practical information

For 2025 the organiser listed two partner hotels about five minutes from the venue and noted that Casablanca airport is just over 100 km away, roughly an hour's drive. 2027 fees have not been published. One page of the site still mentions a "Rail Industry Summit Casablanca", a leftover from an earlier edition; the official 2027 location is El Jadida.
